Each apartment is designed with modern amenities and features that cater to the needs of contemporary living. From high-end finishes to breathtaking views, Eastern Horizon's properties offer an unparalleled level of luxury.
I engaged in a conversation with the business ownerto establish a clear understanding of the project. Next, I conducted userinterviews to gain a deeper understanding of the potential users and toidentify the target audience. I also carried out competitive research to gaininsights into the market, identifying gaps that the company could fill andpotential ideas to surpass its competitors. Finally, usability studies withhigh-fidelity prototypes to evaluate how easy it is for users to interact withthe product and accomplish core tasks.
I conducted user interviews to gather insights into users pain points and how I can address them. Through this research, I obtained demographic information, users' interests, frustrations, intentions, and preferences. This information was then utilized to enhance the website's user experience, minimize potential issues, and create a seamless and intuitive user flow. As a result, I was able to increase conversions by providing a pleasant user journey and effective navigation.
I conducted an unmoderated usability study on high-fidelity prototypes with 5 participants aged 25-55, including 2 men, 2 women, and 1 non-binary person, where 1 participant having visual impairments.
While the study was generally successful and participants were able to complete core tasks within the website, some users expressed a desire for more information about agents and found it inconvenient to contact the company due to the lack of a contact form. To address these issues, I added a page with information about each agent and created a contact form for easy communication with the company.
The implementation of the website for Eastern Horizon has resulted in significant improvements in their digital presence and user engagement.
Since the launch, we have seen a 50% increase in website traffic, indicating a strong interest in this company. Users are spending time on the website, exploring properties and engaging with agents. It has also resulted to an increase in user inquiries and communication with agents. The addition of contact form and personalized recommendations has helped users to feel more connected to the brand and ultimately led to increased sales.
The website's design and user experience have been well-received by users, with positive feedback on the ease of navigation and visual appeal.
The next steps in this project would be to continue to monitor user engagement and make iterative improvements to the website based on user feedback and data analysis. This can include conducting additional user research to gather more insights into user behavior and pain points, performing A/B testing on various website features to determine what resonates best with users. Finally, ongoing collaboration with the development team to ensure that the website is technically running smoothly is critical to maintaining a positive user experience. Regular updates and maintenance to the website will also be necessary to keep it up-to-date and relevant for users.
Throughout this project, I learned the importance of understanding user needs and pain points in creating a successful user experience. By conducting user research and gathering feedback, I was able to identify areas of improvement and implement changes that were well-received by users. Furthermore, I gained a deeper understanding of the luxury real estate industry and the expectations of users in this market. Overall, this project taught me the importance of user-centered design and the impact that small changes can have on user engagement and satisfaction.
